In a varied program, including people from different backgrounds and expertise, the AIR Centre will be responsible for a session happening on the 18th, at 16:00 CET, entitled “Space-Ocean-Earth Interactions for a sustainable, innovative and safe society”. This aims to be a place for addressing challenging questions related to the emerging issues where research and innovation on Space, Ocean and Earth systems interactions will play a key role on the generation of new knowledge, technologies, and businesses across disciplines, stimulating institutional innovation in public and private entities, to better guide a common sustainable, digital and safer future for society at large.
The EUREKA network, founded in 1985, is an international collaborative network for R&D&I, supporting innovative product development, processes or services, to productivity and competitiveness of the European industry. Targetting, mainly, enterprises, the projects may also involve entities from the scientific and technological system.
The Portuguese Chairmanship of EUREKA will start on the 1st July 2021 and last until 30th June 2022, with an inspiring motto “Innovation for a Greener, Digital and Healthier Planet through a collaborative approach”. This coincides with the co-presidency by Portugal of the Council of the European Space Agency (ESA), during the year of 2021, and follows the Presidency of the Council of European Union (January-June 2021).
