Marking one year of the Portuguese Eureka Chairmanship, the Global Innovation Summit 2022 brought together political leaders, researchers, and companies worldwide to discuss a sustainable future for the planet. Companies from 90 countries, around 150 speakers and more than 1700 people registered for the event, which, among various sessions, had as some of the most prominent themes the preservation of oceans, the potential of space science and the reformulation of policies to promote sustainability.
The third Network Meeting under the Portuguese Eureka Chairmanship took place in Cascais, Portugal from 20 to 21 June 2022 with several in-person and online delegations participating.
The 28th Ministerial event started on the 21st June 2022, with the Ministerial Dinner at Palácio da Cidadela in Cascais, continuing over to the morning of 22nd June with the Ministerial Conference at Estoril Congress Center, bringing together more than 40 Ministers, Secretaries of State and senior representatives of Eureka member states, together with representatives of the European Commission.
The 4th Eureka Meets the Atlantic, the last of this series of events, promoted by the Portuguese Eureka Chairmanship, took place on the 21st of April, in Boston, Massachusetts, United States of America, focusing on the topic of local to global innovation for the sustainable development of cities.
